Fractured Online, a Kickstarter-funded MMORPG, has announced that it has parted ways with Gamigo as Dynamight Studios takes sole control of the game. The decision was made after the game encountered technical issues with a third-party backend platform in late 2022, leading to a pause in development.
As a result of the split, players will soon have the option to transfer their account data from Gamigo to Dynamight Studios. Once this phase is completed, the game will be available for a time-limited test through fracturedonline.com, with plans to release the game on Steam without any more server wipes.
Fractured Online has developed a dedicated community that has been eagerly awaiting the game’s return. The project was successfully funded on Kickstarter in June 2018, raising a total of €111,662, and has since garnered a loyal following.
Dynamight Studios will now be the sole operator of Fractured Online, with plans to focus on addressing technical issues and delivering the best possible gaming experience for its players. The developers have expressed appreciation for the support of their backers and fans and will provide updates on the game’s progress in the near future.
